Last December, after five years, I toyed with the idea of ending weekly posts on this site.  In the end, I decided to keep up the weekly schedule as long as I gave myself a few more breaks in writing, especially since some of the stuff I want to write about can get pretty lengthy.

So, at times, you'll have to forgive more Retro RePosts than usual.

I promise to stick to some deeper cuts in case any of you out there have never seen them or an article I thought was really good but didn't get enough eyeballs for one reason or another.

Here at home, we don't have cable anymore, and at the moment, we don't have a cable-like streaming service like YouTube TV.  We have a slew of other streamers, but none that stream live television, so we've been watching a lot of 80s and 90s game shows on Pluto and Tubi lately.

I know I'm not alone when I often think that we have access to everything in the world, and there's not a darn thing to watch.

There's something comforting about watching old game shows from when you were a kid, though.  The clothes, the hair, the mannerisms... It's like a video time capsule.  It reminds me of sick days from school when I'd watch Price is Right and a host of other great television shows that I'd only be able to watch if I was home and not in that pesky school!

With all that in mind, I thought today would be a great opportunity to repost this one, highlighting the short-lived talk show of game show legend Pat Sajak!  Please CLICK HERE to read about the late-night talk show, The Pat Sajak Show!

By the way, next week will be a little different than normal.  Usually, the first week of every month is reserved for "This Month In YesterYear History," but with the 7th being a special anniversary for a movie that was important to me growing up, you'll find the "History" post on April 14th.

Next week, we'll celebrate the 30th Anniversary of "A Goofy Movie!"
