Summer vacation is right around the corner! In some parts of the country, it is already half over, but here in New England, it begins at the end of this week. Many people will be traveling this summer, and what better nostalgic way to kick off summertime travel than a look back at a series of commercials that played constantly in the New York market during my childhood?
Perillo Tours commercials were so famous in the New York area that Saturday Night Live even spoofed them. And, in my opinion, it was one of their better skits in recent years. Adam Sandler is perfect with his deadpan take on Steve Perillo, with several reminders about your journey to Italy that my wife and I frequently quote.
