Retro RePost: Garfield in Paradise

Two years ago, I shared a bit of a love letter to one of my all-time favorite Garfield specials:  Garfield in Paradise.  I'm reposting it today because that 1986 masterpiece still takes me back to childhood summers, VHS tapes, and dreaming of far-off tropical adventure.

As a kid obsessed with flying and airplanes (long before ever sitting in a real cockpit), this special was pure magic for me the moment Garfield and Jon board an airliner.  I'd rewind it over and over again on the VCR.  The tropical island vibes, the cheesy vacation chaos, and the catchy music all felt like the ultimate getaway.  

Garfield was always a big part of my childhood, from Saturday morning cartoons to holiday specials, books to bedsheets.  Garfield in Paradise always hit differently because it mixed two of my biggest loves:  airplanes and cartoons.
